Conducting economic valuation of Lake Ontario, specifically assessing recreational boating, fishing, property values to support the economic feasibility and broader economic impacts associated with the five-county (Niagara, Orleans, Wayne, Monroe, Cayuga) regional dredging plan.
Port Newark Economic Analysis and Land Use Analysis Services.
Conducting a feasibility analysis for Port Newark’s existing portfolio of bulk cargo commodities to continue operating effectively on a reduced port footprint resulting from future Port development plans; assess and quantify potential impacts to the local and regional economies, as well as impacts to respective bulk commodity industries.
Economic Analysis – Downtown (Atlanta) Connector Corridor Study.
Conducted economic evaluation (cost benefit analysis and economic impact) of proposed eight-lane corridor alternatives comprising general-purpose and managed lanes with toll and toll-free options, including a 5.1-mile tunnel, bypass tunnel, and skyway.
Strategic Investment Plan – Downtown Revitalization Initiative – (Round 5, Syracuse, NY)
Performed socioeconomic trends, economic base analysis, and market analysis to assess workforce availability, identify competitive industries, and identify market gaps. Also performed evaluate economic feasibility and broader economic impacts of proposed real estate and public infrastructure investments along business corridors.
Financial Feasibility – SR 386 Corridor Express Lane Development Study.
Led development of a dynamic pricing schedule and a 20-year user-fee or toll revenue forecast to assess the financial viability of the proposed10-mile express lane along a section of SR-386 between Davidson and Sumner Counties.
Everett-Stewart Regional Airport (ESRA) Economic Development Study
Performed inventory and condition of landside and airside assets, regional economic analysis, economic impact. Also facilitated virtual and in-person stakeholder engagement and leveraged the airport to develop a strategic economic development plan to include workforce development and business attraction hospitality, manufacturing and technology; funding/financing strategies.
US76/SR515 NSFLTP Grant Application for GDOT
We conducted economic analysis to support GDOT’s NSFLTP grant application for US76/SR515 widening project. EDG leveraged expected ancillary developments (land-use changes) along the roadway to perform an integrated economic (benefit-cost analysis and economic development impacts) analysis. Our findings highlighted among other things the effect of the improvement on tourism and retail sectors as well as the improved welfare of the residents in the region. GDOT’ REMI model was utilized for this study.
Statewide Socioeconomic Analysis and Forecast (2015-2050)
Performed socioeconomic analysis and forecast for each of Georgia’s 159 counties and their respective Transportation Analysis Zones (TAZ) between 2015 and 2050 to underpin the State’s long-range travel demand forecast. The socioeconomic variables included population, income, employment, housing, land-use, and school enrollment.

Conducted expert review on Criterion 2: Cost Share, Financial Resources, and Commercial Market Viability of grant applications. The review focused among others on financial resources, economic feasibility, market competitiveness, pricing strategies, off-take agreements, and supply chain risks.
Economic Feasibility Study – Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan
EDG conducted a two-part economic analysis to assess the master plan's economic feasibility and development impacts. Next, EDG examined the County's economic base, identified key industries that would unlock the intrinsic value of the vast natural endowments as well as assess the broader impacts of destination-based tourism on the local and regional economy.
Cobb County (Georgia) Mobility SPLOST Education Support
Performed high-level economic impact analysis of proposed projects outlined in the Cobb County Mobility Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (MSPLOST) Plan to facilitate education or public engagement as well as to build community support for financing through November 2024 referendum.
