H. Edem Dzakwasi is the Founder and CEO of Economic Decisions Group (EDG), an MBE-certified economics and management consulting firm, where he leads all client engagements. With a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, finance, and economics, and over 25 years of consulting experience— Edem brings a unique perspective to complex projects and is recognized for his client-focused leadership.
He has directed and contributed to numerous research, economic, financial, and strategic advisory assignments across the U.S., Canada, and Africa. His expertise includes economic and financial analysis, asset valuation, risk assessment, benefit-cost evaluations, econometric and time-series forecasting and economic impact analysis.
Before establishing EDG, Edem held senior positions at Cambridge Systematics, Wilbur Smith Associates (now CDM Smith), and served as Vice President of Infrastructure and Project Finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Edmonton, Canada. In these roles, he advised on major Public-Private Partnership (PPP/P3) transactions, including DB, DBOM, and DBFOM delivery models.
Edem holds an MSc in Economics from Auburn University, an MPA in International Development (Economic and Financial Policy) from Harvard Kennedy School, a BSc in Civil Engineering, and a Certificate in Time Series Analysis and Forecasting.
